All of a sudden my car wont read the engine tep the needle stays on the bottom ,the heat works so what would cause the gauge not to move. Like.When all of the gauges or warning lights in your car stop working at once, the problem is something that all of the gauges and lights share in common. Check the fuses first. The fuse may be labeled gauges, clusters, or something similar. This fuse should have power on both sides with the ignition in the on position.If the BCM get odd voltages (spikes or drops) it will make the instrument cluster act wierd. Double check any stereo wires if you installed an aftermarket HU and check the battery terminals to make sure they are tight. If all checks out, have the battery load tested. A bad battery can cause the same problems.
