• The Alcove Spring Historical Trust and NTIR were awarded an Active Trails Grant by the National Park Foundation, to support volunteer trail building and public events onsite in 2014. Volunteers have already recleared an existing trail, and additional work days, guided hikes, and a run/walk event are being scheduled for the summer and fall.We stopped by Alcove Springs during a Sunday road trip. It's a free attraction and one worth seeing! For me, the falls were not worth the visit but the history of the place was definitely interesting. The fact that so many people had taken the time to carve dates and names into the stones was amazing.We're still gearing up for The Beach Boys Live at Alcove Spring on July 31 - it's going to be the must-attend social event of the year!
