My Navy Federal has a coin counting machine that is free to use for members. I was using it one day a couple months ago when one of the employees told me it was going away in April. We chatted a bit about it and she told me the maintenance costs were not worth it for them.After the grocery store, my next thought was to check the credit union down the street. I knew it had a machine, too. In keeping with the credit union ethos of putting the customer first, I was pleased to see it had a machine that would count the coins, and the service was free as a courtesy to members.
