We walked the whole length of the East Side Gallery- 1,316 m (4,318 ft). It consists of a series of murals by 118 artists from 21 countries. Most of the paintings had been graffitied/ vandalized and needed to be restored. There was a line for the most popular mural- "Fraternal Kiss." I'm glad they were able to utilize the wall to create public art. The East Side Gallery is the largest open-air gallery in the world. At the original Berlin Wall, in a length of about 1300 meters, 118 artists from 21 countries have created 101 images known as the East Side Gallery in 1990. Every year nearly 2-3 million tourists and guests from all over the world visit this unique monument.
