The flashing smiley face is a rise in estrogen which is usually detected prior to ovulation to make you aware you are closer to ovulation but you still need to carry on testing till you see the solid smiley face (LH surge).I got 7 days of flashing smiley and ran out of tests by that point to get a solid ââď¸. Poor hubby was exhausted After advise from my ob, he said to BD every second day from day 8 (I have 25 day cycles)

I thought it was supposed to show me 2 days of estrogen build up and then 2 days of LH surge leading up to O.The flashing smiley indicates oestrogen, but you have to remember it isnât looking for a specific amount, it is looking for an increase in the level. (so it could be going from very low to slightly less low). So you will never get a flashing smiley on the first day because itâs just getting a baseline.
