I can not follow your post. My VCM Tuner 2, when installed with only the red wire connected, keeps my engine using all 6 cylinders, even if the eco button is pressed. When I also connect the VCM Tuner 2's green wire to ground, the VCM Tuner 2 is no longer in the system and the engine follows Honda's OEM instructions.I am torn between the S-VCM Controller and the VCM Tuner II as they both are automatic. The VCMTuner II which is similar S-VCM, but with added features. There is an accelerometer which will automatically override suppression when the vehicle is at idle, is at operating temperature, and sits for more than 2 minutes for diagnostic procedures. ….

I have a VCM muzzler II fixed-resistor type device installed in my 2005 EX-L. This vehicle had a healthy original 3.5L V6 powerplant with 165k miles when I bought it this winter.Take a look at the VCMTunerII. It's similar to the S-VCM but, in my opinion, is a better device with it's built in accelerometer allowing normal temps to be sent to the ECM during idle. I get 20 - 21 mpg around town (v6 only) and when traveling on the Interstate for hours and hours, I connect the device's green wire to ground and let Honda's VCM PC improve my MPG to 25, at 80 mph(ish). The VCM technology is what changes the camshaft timing to increase the engine performance. And when there is something wrong with this timing, the engine will start to misfire. To solve this issue, first, check the engine oil level.
