After replacement, the aux switches didn't show up until we drove a bit. My guess is the replacement battery, while charged, wasn't to full capacity yet.The easy and simple answer, battery charging in controlled by the PCM and running voltage is based on battery temperature. Higher battery temps, lower voltage. Lower temps, higher voltage. In the 90's and 00's, that was true and a change in the charging systems to prevent overcharging the battery.
