8603 posts · Joined 2011. #1 · May 10, 2021. So I had good luck with 2 Kimbers i have a 9mm and a 45 that work flawlessly. My 10 mm is beautiful , wont feed a single round. They say shoot them they will break in . I had to slide the rounds in one at a time by hand. You cannot put a mag in and let it slide forward .Kimber Custom II Semi-Auto Pistol. $969.99. Continue racking the slide until all the cartridges in the mag have been run through the chamber. If all the cartridges feed without an issue, the extractor is the root of the problem. i had lots of problems ftf, fte, etc so after about 300 rds i returned it to kimber who put it through the custom shop and reworked the extractor. i also installed the proper wolff spring #32725 after getting the gun back from kimber. since getting the gun back, i have put through about 300 rds of sellier & bellot 230g fmj with no problems.This is my first Kimber and for the $ it’s a good buy. Fit and finish are good and I actually like the front sight on this GFO model. I shot some 200gr hard cast from Underwood and some 200xtp underwood with 0 issues.The Kimber Custom LW Shadow Ghost is relatively easy to clean. Takedown is standard for a 1911 with a full-length guide rod. Detailed instructions on disassembly, lubrication, and reassembly are easy to follow per the manual.
