I cycled the cartridge out, it ejected fine, with the bullet intact.The lever positively retracts the firing pin on opening and blocks full movement until it locks the bolt shut. If it DIDN'T move freely, you'd have a problem. Clean the slot the firing pin rides in well, make sure there's no impacted crud where front of the pin's "leg" rides in the bolt and you'll be good.
