This vowel is very hard to pronounce. I give a detailed description below: V v /v/ or /j/ Like the English "v", although southerners often pronounce it like a "y". X x /s/ Like the English "s". Y y /i/ Like the "ee" in the English "bee". (Same as the Vietnamese "i").
