The Apollo Belvedere is a well-known piece of Classical sculpture, but is thought to be a copy of an earlier bronze statue. The piece currently kept in the Vatican Museum is made of marble, and most likely dates from around 120-140AD.Leochares, Greek sculptor to whom the Apollo Belvedere (Roman copy, Vatican Museum) is often attributed.
