The SS runes are a no go. I have seen several genuine SS PPK's and none had any runes on them. The serial range and the serial no on the front of the slide below the barrel or serialized magazines the match the PPK serial number. Sometimes the in the serial range of the SS PPK's the PPK serial was also on the slide.I have one with serial S055XXX and the enclosed target gave a 1993 date if I recall. Another friend had one with a higher serial number and his target date showed an earlier date. So it is a crap shoot unless you have the enclosed target.
